The Lyceum is home to one of Scotland's largest and most successful producing companies. Their main output is their Season of high-quality drama productions, running from September to May.

The company has a reputation for excellent productions of classic and contemporary drama and a commitment to developing new Scottish writing.

In addition, they stage a family show every Christmas and productions by the Lyceum Youth Theatre; we are the Scottish home of the NT Connections national showcase festival of youth theatre; they host touring companies and Edinburgh International Festival shows; and they run an ambitious and acclaimed education department.

Past shows include, The Winter's Tale, Living Quarters, The Wizard of Oz, Vanity Fair, Macbeth, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and Adolf Hitler: My Part in his Downfall.
