Edinburgh Castle, home to the Edinburgh Tattoo, is a magnificently situated royal fortress located on one of the highest points in the city.

Set in 82 acres of sloping parkland, Edinburgh Zoo is situated three miles to the west of Edinburgh city centre.

At night, sightseeing goes underground into Edinburgh's ghostly underworld! Famous throughout the world for its haunted vaults - built over after the plague wiped out most of Edinburgh in the mid 1600s - Edinburgh's Grassmarket is in the heart of some of the spookiest, eeriest areas of Edinburgh's Old Town. The National Gallery houses the national collection of fine art from the early Renaissance to the end of the nineteenth century. Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway

The Scottish Railway Preservation Society operates the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway, which has been developed since 1979 on a green-field site by the south shore of the Firth of Forth. Several historic buildings have been obtained and re-erected to provide a traditional railway setting. Bo'ness station opened in 1981.
