Maid of the Forth is a unique range of cruises on the Firth of Forth. They operate from South Queensferry in the shadow of the world famous Forth Rail Bridge, one of Scotland's most famous landmarks. For nature lovers, the Inner Forth is rich in marine life, from both grey and common seals to the comical little Puffin Cruise to Inchcolm, "The Iona of the East" and explore it's 12th Century Abbey or enjoy one of our Evening Jazz'n BBQ events. Trips to Inchcolm Enjoy magnificent views of the world famous Forth Bridges from our open top deck as you cruise downriver past Inchgarvie and towards Inchcolm.Known as the 'Iona of the East'. The Maid stops briefly at Inchcolm to disembark those passengers who have opted to go ashore to explore then the cruise continues around the island and back up to South Queensferry. Our onboard commentary tells you of the features as they pass and the skipper gives live input whenever some wildlife is sighted. You can see Seals, comical little Puffins, Cormorants, Eider Ducks, Fulmars, Gannets and Guillemots as well as occasional sightings of Porpoise and Dolphins. On Inchcolm as well as the Historic Abbey there is a Visitor Centre, picnic areas, gardens and a sandy beach. Trip Duration 1.5hrs or 3hrs with the Inchcolm Landing Option. The vessel is extremely popular as a unique venue for private functions. Office parties, club outings, corporate events, fun days etc, either as a daytime cruise or an evening event. Our Disco cruises or Jazz nights are legendary for office nights out. We can also provide Clay Pigeon Shooting or Casino Nights for corporate events. We recommend a maximum of 100 for an evening cruise and package prices for a 3 hr vessel charter start at £800 inclusive of our Jazz band or disco.
